Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam follows the bee's contour with 0.1mm precision — enough to hold the fine facial hairs, the texture of the clypeus, the translucent ribbing of the folded wings. Each fuzzy filament and banded segment stays structurally connected to the whole, so the portrait survives as one continuous piece. No welding, no assembly, no separate parts joined afterward. Wall-ready, engineered to hold its form across every size.
Light completes it. Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, the panel casts a layered shadow behind the steel. The bee seems to lift toward you in direct light and settle back into the wall as the day softens — sharper in morning sun, deeper and more atmospheric by evening. It is a quality flat prints and framed photographs cannot reach, shifting with every change in the room's light.
Four finishes carry the mood differently: matte black for the sharpest silhouette and the strongest contrast against light walls, matte white for kitchens and bright, airy rooms, raw steel with a clear protective coat for a subtle metallic grain, or corten rust for a warm, earthy patina that deepens over weeks and months — at home on a garden or patio wall.
