Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam follows each stripe with 0.1mm precision — close enough to preserve the taper where bands narrow along the muzzle and the fine separation between the wavy lines of the torso. Every stripe is engineered to remain structurally tied to the whole, so the panel holds its shape across all five sizes without backing or reinforcement. One continuous piece of metal, no welding, no joins, wall-ready when it arrives.
Light finishes what steel begins. Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, the panel casts a layered shadow behind each stripe. The zebra seems to step forward and recede as light moves through the day — crisp in direct morning sun, softer and more atmospheric toward evening. The negative space between the bands fills with shadow, doubling the striped rhythm on the wall in a way no flat print can reach.
Four finishes shape the mood. Matte black gives the sharpest wildlife silhouette and the strongest contrast on light walls. Matte white suits bright, minimalist interiors. Raw steel with a clear protective coat carries a metallic grain and industrial warmth, while corten rust develops a warm savanna-toned patina over weeks and months.
