The Patient Weaver
Order today — delivery by 21 Aug
It waits at the center of its own architecture — eight legs extended across radiating silk, motionless, certain. There is something in the spider that we recognize and fear in equal measure: the patience to build, the stillness to wait, the readiness to act. This is that moment held permanently, cut from a single sheet of 2mm steel. The bulbous abdomen, the spined legs, the fine threads radiating outward — all of it reads at a glance, from across the room, before you even step closer to find the fangs.
Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam follows each strand of web with 0.1mm precision — fine enough to hold the delicate radial threads and the hairy texture along the legs. The thinnest silk lines survive because every element is engineered to remain structurally connected to the whole. One continuous piece of steel, no welding, no separate parts joined afterward, wall-ready as it leaves the cutter.
Light gives it life. Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, ambient light casts a layered shadow behind the steel — the web doubled, once in metal and once in shadow. As light shifts through the day, the spider seems to advance and recede, sharper in direct sun, deeper and more atmospheric in the evening. It is a quality flat prints and framed posters cannot reach, and one that changes character with every shift in the room.
Four finishes to set the mood: matte black for the sharpest silhouette and the most unsettling presence on a light wall, matte white for a quieter graphic reading, raw steel with a clear protective coat for an industrial edge, or corten rust for a weathered patina that deepens over weeks and months. Five sizes from S (45 cm) to XXL (130 cm) on the longer side, each scaled to preserve the original proportions. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 to 8 kg depending on size and design complexity. All finishes and sizing details are covered in the craft and delivery guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
A large hairy spider perched motionless at the center of its radial web, legs extended, fangs and pedipalps visible. The silhouette captures the moment of patient waiting — eerie and primal, frozen in 2mm steel. Every detail, from the bulbous abdomen to the fine silk strands, remains connected in one continuous piece.
Each panel is laser-cut from a single sheet of 2mm low-carbon steel. The entire design — including the delicate radiating web strands — is one continuous, structurally connected piece. No welding or assembly required, wall-ready as it leaves the cutter.
The panel ships with standoff spacers and wall anchors. Mount the spacers to the wall, then attach the panel. The 15mm gap creates a floating effect with a layered shadow behind the steel — the web doubled in metal and light — that shifts throughout the day.
Four options: Matte Black for the sharpest silhouette and most unsettling presence, Matte White for a quieter graphic reading, Raw Steel with a clear protective coat for an industrial edge, and Corten Rust for a weathered patina that develops naturally over months.
