Tree by the Winding Stream

A great tree spreads its branches over a quiet stretch of water, and birds scatter into the air around it — some rising, some settling, all caught mid-flight. This is a place you may have stood once: a riverbank where time slowed, where the only movement was wind through the reeds and wings against the sky. Cut from a single sheet of 2mm steel, the layered landscape holds that stillness — bare white trees, a winding stream, mounds and rocks stacked toward the horizon, every element connected in one continuous piece.

Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam follows each branch, each bird, each ripple of the stream with 0.1mm precision — fine enough to preserve the thinnest reeds and the delicate spread of the tree's outermost twigs. The slender stems and overlapping branches survive the cut because every line is engineered to remain structurally connected to the whole. One piece of steel, no welding, no joins, wall-ready out of the box.

Light does the rest. Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, ambient light casts a layered shadow behind the steel. The branches and birds appear to lift off the surface as the light moves through the day — sharper in direct morning sun, softer and more atmospheric in the evening. It is a living quality that flat prints and canvas cannot approach.

Four finishes to suit the room: matte black for the sharpest silhouette against light walls, matte white for a calm, airy presence in a bedroom or spa, raw steel with a clear protective coat for industrial warmth, or corten rust for an earthy patina that deepens over weeks and months. Five sizes from S (45 cm) to XXL (130 cm) on the longer side, each scaled to preserve the original proportions. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 to 8 kg.
