The Radiant Heron
Order today — delivery by 21 Aug
Neck arched, crest raised, a great blue heron stands watch over its nest while a golden sunburst halo radiates behind its head. Above, a starry night sky; below, water rippling in slow reflective waves. This is a guardian moment — the patient stillness of a bird that waits and watches, framed by an ornate geometric border. The whole scene is cut from a single sheet of 2mm steel, every feather line and every point of the halo held in one continuous piece.
Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop, the cutting beam follows the heron's contour and the fine feather detailing with 0.1mm precision. The intricate plumage, the radiating spokes of the halo, the twigs of the nest, the wavy water surface — each delicate line is engineered to remain structurally connected to the ornate frame around it. One piece of steel, no welding, no assembly, no separate parts joined afterward. The panel arrives wall-ready, holding its form across every size.
Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, the panel floats while ambient light casts a layered shadow behind the steel. The halo's spokes throw fine lines across the wall, and the heron's silhouette shifts character as the day moves — sharper in direct morning light, softer and more atmospheric come evening. It is a living quality that flat prints and framed reproductions cannot match.
Four finishes to suit the room: matte black for the sharpest silhouette and the most dramatic contrast against light walls, matte white for a calmer presence in bright or coastal interiors, raw steel with a clear protective coat for a subtle metallic grain, or corten rust for a warm earthen patina that deepens naturally over weeks and months. Five sizes from S (45 cm) to XXL (130 cm) on the longer side, each scaled to preserve the original proportions. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 to 8 kg. Finish and sizing details are covered in the craft and delivery guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
A great blue heron standing poised on its nest, neck arched and crest raised, with a golden sunburst halo radiating behind its head. A starry night sky sits above, rippling water below, all framed by an ornate geometric border. The scene blends naturalistic feather detail with a mystical, contemplative mood.
Each panel is laser-cut from a single sheet of 2mm low-carbon steel. The heron, halo, nest, water, and ornate frame all remain one continuous, structurally connected piece. No welding, no assembly, no separate parts joined afterward.
The panel ships with standoff spacers and wall anchors. Mount the spacers to the wall, then attach the panel. The 15mm gap creates a floating effect, with the halo's spokes casting fine layered shadows that shift across the wall throughout the day.
Four options: Matte Black for the sharpest silhouette and dramatic contrast, Matte White for a calmer presence in bright or coastal interiors, Raw Steel with a clear coat for a subtle metallic grain, and Corten Rust for a warm earthen patina that develops naturally over months.
Five sizes preserving the original proportions: S (45 cm), M (60 cm), L (80 cm), XL (100 cm), and XXL (130 cm) on the longer side. The shorter side follows the design's aspect ratio. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 kg to 8 kg depending on size and complexity.
