The Rooster's Gaze
Order today — delivery by 21 Aug
A single yellow eye, fixed and unblinking, turned toward something just out of frame. The comb rises in a textured crest, the wattle hangs heavy below a parted beak, and the neck feathers flow outward in fine wisps — every strand caught mid-motion. This is not a farm animal. It is a portrait of bearing: the bird that announces the morning, drawn in left profile and cut from a single sheet of 2mm steel. Each feather, each curve of the comb stays connected in one continuous piece.
Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam traces the feather wisps with 0.1mm precision — fine enough to hold the texture of the dense neck plumage and the detailed iris of that piercing eye. The finest barbs, barely millimeters wide in the design, survive the cut because every line is engineered to remain structurally connected to the whole. One piece of steel, no welding, no assembly, wall-ready across all five sizes.
Light does the rest. Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, ambient light casts a layered shadow behind the steel. The rooster's profile gains depth as the light moves through the day — the comb sharper in direct morning sun, the flowing feathers softer and deeper in the evening. It is a living quality that flat prints and canvas cannot approach, shifting character with every change in the room.
Four finishes to match the room: matte black for the sharpest profile and heraldic contrast against light walls, matte white for farmhouse and Scandinavian kitchens, raw steel with a clear protective coat for industrial warmth and a subtle metallic grain, or corten rust for a weathered earthy patina that deepens naturally over weeks and months. Five sizes from S (45 cm) to XXL (130 cm) on the longer side, each scaled to preserve the original proportions. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 to 8 kg depending on the design complexity. All finishes and sizing details are covered in the craft and delivery guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
A rooster's head and upper neck in left profile — comb raised, wattle pendulous, beak slightly parted, and a single piercing yellow eye fixed forward. The dense neck feathers flow outward in fine wisps. The portrait reads as majestic and heraldic, every anatomical detail connected in one continuous piece of 2mm steel.
Each panel is laser-cut from a single sheet of 2mm low-carbon steel. The entire design — comb, feathers, eye, and beak — remains one continuous, structurally connected piece. No welding or assembly required, and the steel holds its shape across all sizes without backing.
The panel ships with standoff spacers and wall anchors. Mount the spacers to the wall, then attach the panel. The 15mm gap creates a floating effect with a layered shadow behind the steel that shifts throughout the day, giving the rooster's profile depth as the light changes.
Four options: Matte Black for the sharpest profile and heraldic contrast, Matte White for farmhouse and Scandinavian kitchens, Raw Steel with a clear protective coat for industrial warmth, and Corten Rust for a weathered earthy patina that develops naturally over months.
