The Watchful Giraffe
Order today — delivery by 21 Aug
A long neck rises, the head turns, and a single dark eye holds your gaze from across the savanna. There is a quiet intelligence in this profile — the curiosity of an animal that watches the horizon for hours, the gentle gravity of a creature that towers yet never threatens. Cut from a single sheet of 2mm steel, every spot on the tessellated coat, both ossicones, the folded ears, and the textured muzzle stay connected in one continuous piece. The portrait reads instantly: calm, attentive, alive.
Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam follows the contour of the giraffe's spotted pattern with 0.1mm precision — fine enough to preserve the irregular geometry of each patch and the soft curve of the ears. The narrow bridges between spots survive the cut because every line is engineered to remain structurally connected to the whole. One piece of steel, no welding, no assembly, wall-ready out of the box across all five sizes.
Light finishes the portrait. Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, ambient light casts a layered shadow behind the steel. The giraffe seems to lift away from the surface as the day moves — sharper in direct morning sun, softer and more atmospheric in the evening. It is a living quality that flat prints and canvas cannot approach, one that gives a child's room or a quiet office a presence that shifts with the hours.
Four finishes to match the room: matte black for the sharpest profile and the most dramatic contrast against light walls, matte white for bright and Scandinavian interiors, raw steel with a clear protective coat for industrial warmth and a subtle metallic grain, or corten rust for a warm earthen tone that recalls dry savanna light and deepens naturally over weeks and months. Five sizes from S (45 cm) to XXL (130 cm) on the longer side, each scaled to preserve the original proportions. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 to 8 kg depending on design complexity. All finishes and sizing details are covered in the craft and delivery guide.

A close-up portrait of a giraffe's head and upper neck in profile, gazing sideways with a single dark, attentive eye. The silhouette captures the tessellated spot pattern, both ossicones, folded ears, and textured muzzle — calm, curious, and alive, all held in one continuous piece of 2mm steel.
Each panel is laser-cut from a single sheet of 2mm low-carbon steel. The entire design — every spot, the ossicones, the ears — remains one continuous, structurally connected piece. No welding or assembly required, wall-ready out of the box.
The panel ships with standoff spacers and wall anchors. Mount the spacers to the wall, then attach the panel. The 15mm gap creates a floating effect with a layered shadow behind the steel that shifts throughout the day as the light moves.
Four options: Matte Black for the sharpest profile and dramatic contrast, Matte White for bright and Scandinavian interiors, Raw Steel with a clear protective coat for industrial warmth, and Corten Rust for a warm earthen tone that recalls dry savanna light and develops naturally over months.
