Sunlit Ascent
Order today — delivery by 21 Aug
A humpback rises through a column of light, fins spread wide, mouth slightly open, heading toward a surface that ripples somewhere above the frame. This is the slow, deliberate climb from the dark below into the sun — a moment that feels less like swimming and more like ascension. Cut from a single sheet of 2mm steel, the white-edged pectoral fins, the knobbed flippers, the flared tail fluke and the shafts of light beaming down all stay connected in one continuous piece. The motion reads instantly, from across the room.
Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam follows each contour with 0.1mm precision — fine enough to hold the barnacle-like knobs along the flippers and the slender light rays without breaking the line. Every element, from the throat pleats to the rippled surface above, is engineered to remain structurally tied to the whole. One piece of steel, no welding, no assembly, wall-ready in 7–14 days.
Light finishes the work. Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, ambient light casts a layered shadow behind the steel. The whale appears to drift in and out of the wall as the day moves — sharper in direct morning sun, deeper and more atmospheric by evening. The sunbeams in the design double in their own shadow, an effect flat prints and canvas cannot reach.
Four finishes to suit the room: matte black for the sharpest silhouette and deepest contrast against light walls, matte white for coastal and beach-house interiors, raw steel with a clear protective coat for industrial warmth and a subtle metallic grain, or corten rust for a weathered oceanic texture that deepens naturally over weeks and months. Five sizes from S (45 cm) to XXL (130 cm) on the longer side, scaled to preserve the original proportions. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 to 8 kg. All finishes and sizing are covered in the craft and delivery guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
A humpback whale ascending through shafts of sunlight toward the water's surface, pectoral fins extended and mouth slightly open. The composition captures the slow climb from the dark depths into the light — majestic and ethereal. Every detail, from the knobbed flippers to the sunbeams, stays connected in one continuous piece of steel.
Each panel is laser-cut from a single sheet of 2mm low-carbon steel. The entire design — the whale, the fins, the light rays — forms one continuous, structurally connected piece. No welding, no assembly required.
The panel ships with standoff spacers and wall anchors. Mount the spacers to the wall, then attach the panel. The 15mm gap creates a floating effect with a layered shadow behind the steel that shifts throughout the day as ambient light moves through the room.
Four options: Matte Black for the sharpest silhouette and deepest contrast, Matte White for coastal and beach-house interiors, Raw Steel with a clear protective coat for industrial warmth, and Corten Rust for a weathered oceanic patina that develops naturally over months.
Five sizes scaled to preserve the original proportions: S (45 cm), M (60 cm), L (80 cm), XL (100 cm), and XXL (130 cm) on the longer side. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 kg to 8 kg depending on size and design complexity.
