The Breach
Order today — delivery by 21 Aug
Forty tons of muscle and intent, rising clear of the water with body arched and pectoral fins flung wide. This is the breach — the moment a humpback leaves its element entirely and hangs against the open sky. Cut from a single sheet of 2mm steel, the whale carries every detail that makes the pose unmistakable: the elevated tail fluke with its serrated edge, the textured ventral grooves along the throat, the barnacles and the small expressive eye. Water droplets scatter around the body, each one connected to the next, frozen mid-fall.
Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam follows the intricate line work with 0.1mm precision — fine enough to preserve the stippling and cross-hatching of the original drawing in metal. The serrated edge of the fluke, the slender water droplets, the curve of the pectoral fins: every line is engineered to stay structurally connected to the whole. One continuous piece, no welding, no separate parts joined afterward, wall-ready out of the box.
Light gives the whale its motion. Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, ambient light casts a layered shadow behind the steel. The breaching figure seems to rise and fall as light moves through the day — sharper under direct morning sun, softer and more atmospheric toward evening. It is a living quality that flat prints and canvas cannot reach, shifting the character of the panel with every change in the room.
Four finishes to suit the space: matte black for the sharpest silhouette and strongest contrast on light walls, matte white for coastal and Scandinavian interiors, raw steel with a clear protective coat for industrial warmth and a subtle metallic grain, or corten rust for a weathered oceanic texture that deepens naturally over weeks and months. Five sizes from S (45 cm) to XXL (130 cm) on the longer side, each scaled to preserve the original proportions. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 to 8 kg depending on design complexity. All finishes and sizing details are covered in the craft and delivery guide.

Each panel is laser-cut from a single sheet of steel — no assembly, no seams.
The result is a shadow-casting sculpture that transforms any wall into a gallery.

Frequently Asked Questions
A humpback whale at the peak of a breach — body arched, pectoral fins extended, tail fluke raised, leaping clear of the water. The silhouette captures the moment the whale leaves its element entirely. Every detail, from the serrated fluke to the textured ventral grooves and scattered water droplets, stays connected in one continuous piece.
Each panel is laser-cut from a single sheet of 2mm low-carbon steel. The entire design — the body texture, the fins, the water droplets — is one continuous, structurally connected piece. No welding or assembly required.
The panel ships with standoff spacers and wall anchors. Mount the spacers to the wall, then attach the panel. The 15mm gap creates a floating effect with a layered shadow behind the steel that shifts throughout the day as the light moves.
Four options: Matte Black for the sharpest contrast on light walls, Matte White for coastal and Scandinavian interiors, Raw Steel with a clear protective coat for industrial warmth, and Corten Rust for a weathered oceanic patina that develops naturally over months.
Five sizes preserving original proportions: S (45 cm), M (60 cm), L (80 cm), XL (100 cm), and XXL (130 cm) on the longer side. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 kg to 8 kg depending on size and design complexity.
