A single canoe holds the center, suspended between dense clouds of swirling darkness above and rippling currents of mist below. This is the threshold moment — the place you were before you knew where you were going, neither shore in sight. Cut from one continuous sheet of 2mm steel, every contour line of the turbulent environment stays connected: the pointed bow and stern, the thwarts and benches, the fluid ink-like forms that close in from every direction. A quiet image of passage, of the in-between.

Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam follows each swirling line with 0.1mm precision — fine enough to preserve the wavy mist patterns below and the cloud-like density above. Every line is engineered to remain structurally connected to the whole, so the intricate contour shading survives the cut as one piece. No welding, no assembly, no separate elements joined afterward. One sheet of steel, wall-ready.

Light completes the work. Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, ambient light casts a layered shadow behind the steel. The mists seem to drift and deepen as light moves through the day — sharper in direct morning sun, softer and more atmospheric in the evening. The canoe appears to float twice, once in metal and once in shadow. It is a living quality that flat prints and canvas cannot reach.

Four finishes to match the room: matte black for the sharpest line work and deepest contrast against light walls, matte white for a softer presence in calm interiors, raw steel with a clear protective coat for industrial warmth and a subtle metallic grain, or corten rust for a weathered texture that deepens naturally over weeks and months. Five sizes from S (45 cm) to XXL (130 cm) on the longer side, each scaled to preserve the original proportions. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 to 8 kg. All finishes and sizing details are covered in the craft and delivery guide.

Each panel is laser-cut from a single sheet of steel — no assembly, no seams.

The result is a shadow-casting sculpture that transforms any wall into a gallery.
