Moon Over Twisted Pines
Order today — delivery by 21 Aug
A full moon climbs behind cliffs while pines twist against the night, branches bent by winds that passed long ago. This is a place you have stood, or wished you had — the quiet edge of a mountain where the world goes still and the sky does all the moving. The moment is held in a single sheet of 2mm steel: the swirling clouds, the jagged rock face, the gnarled silhouette of trees clinging to stone. Every branch, every cleft in the cliff, reads from across the room.
Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam traces each twisted branch and ragged cliff edge with 0.1mm precision, fine enough to hold the negative space between clouds and the thin reach of pine needles. The composition stays one continuous piece — no welding, no separate parts joined afterward. Every line is engineered to remain structurally connected, so the panel holds its form across all five sizes without backing or reinforcement.
Light completes it. Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, the steel casts a layered shadow that deepens the scene. The moon seems to glow against the wall behind it, the pines lean into their own shadows, and the whole landscape shifts as daylight moves through the room — sharper at midday, softer and more nocturnal as evening falls. It is a depth that flat prints and canvas cannot reach.
Four finishes carry the mood differently: matte black for the sharpest silhouette and deepest contrast on a light wall, matte white for a calm, airy presence in a bedroom or meditation space, raw steel with a clear protective coat for a subtle metallic grain, or corten rust for a warm, weathered tone that develops naturally over weeks and months. Five sizes from S (45 cm) to XXL (130 cm) on the longer side, each scaled to preserve the original proportions. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 to 8 kg. All finishes and sizing details are covered in the craft and delivery guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
A nocturnal mountain landscape: twisted pine trees clinging to jagged cliffs beneath a full moon rising amid swirling clouds. The composition draws on ukiyo-e and Japanese ink-wash traditions, capturing the still, mystical moment when the sky moves and the world below holds its breath. Every branch and cliff edge stays connected in one continuous piece.
Each panel is laser-cut from a single sheet of 2mm low-carbon steel. The entire scene — twisted branches, cliffs, moon, and clouds — remains one continuous, structurally connected piece. No welding or assembly required, and no backing needed to hold its form.
The panel ships with standoff spacers and wall anchors. Mount the spacers to the wall, then attach the panel. The 15mm gap creates a floating effect with a layered shadow behind the steel that deepens the landscape and shifts as daylight moves through the room.
Four options: Matte Black for the sharpest silhouette and deepest night-sky contrast, Matte White for a calm presence in bedrooms or meditation spaces, Raw Steel with a clear protective coat for a subtle metallic grain, and Corten Rust for a warm, weathered tone that develops naturally over months.
Five sizes scaled to preserve the original proportions: S (45 cm), M (60 cm), L (80 cm), XL (100 cm), and XXL (130 cm) on the longer side. This is a portrait-oriented composition, so the shorter side follows the vertical aspect ratio. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 kg to 8 kg.
