Three crosses stand against a sky split by light — Christ at the center, two thieves on either side, robed figures and horses gathered at the foot of the rocky hill. This is Calvary at its most still moment, the weight of Good Friday held in a single sheet of 2mm steel. Every cross, every figure, every ray breaking through the dark clouds stays connected in one continuous piece. The drama reads instantly, from across a room or down a long corridor: grief below, sacrifice above, and the sky deciding which way the story turns.

The composition draws from Gustave Doré, the 19th-century French engraver whose biblical illustrations shaped how generations pictured scripture. Doré worked in dense wood engraving, building light and shadow from thousands of fine lines — the dramatic skies, the crowds, the rugged terrain. Here that Romantic theatricality is distilled to silhouette: the essential shapes of Calvary, the rhythm of three crosses on the hill, the small clustered figures that give the scene its scale and its sorrow.

Laser-cut from low-carbon steel in a Polish workshop. The cutting beam follows each contour with 0.1mm precision — fine enough to hold the separate figures on horseback, the standing women near the central cross, and the rays of light breaking through cloud. Every line is engineered to remain structurally connected, so the entire scene survives as one piece. No welding, no assembly, no separate parts joined afterward. One sheet of steel, wall-ready.

Mounted on standoff spacers 15mm from the wall, the panel casts a layered shadow behind the steel. The three crosses appear to lift off the surface as light moves through the day — sharper at noon, longer and more solemn in the evening. Four finishes suit the setting: matte black for the starkest contrast in a chapel or living room, matte white for a quieter presence on dark walls, raw steel with a clear protective coat, or corten rust for a weathered, earthen patina that deepens over months. Five sizes from S (45 cm) to XXL (130 cm) on the longer side, scaled to preserve the original proportions. Weight ranges from approximately 1.5 to 8 kg. All finishes and sizing are covered in the craft and delivery guide.
